Inner healing is a ministry that seeks to heal inner emotional pain through the Holy Spirit. This emotional pain may have been caused from negative life experiences someone else has done to us such as abuse, rejection, abandonment or betrayal. A sexually abused victim maybe hindered from loving their spouse or someone suffering rejection in childhood may find it difficult to love or trust others. Some may have an impossible task of trusting the Father if they endured physical abuse from their natural father. Ps 38:5 "...my wounds are foul & festering...". It is only through the Holy Spirit these wounds can be healed. Ps 147:3 "God heals the broken hearted & binds up their wounds". The biggest deception in the Christian community is to forget the abuse or trauma and just stuff the pain. You see to heal you must expose it! And wounds that don't get cleaned up may get gangrene. Even medical doctors admit that more than 80% of physical illnesses occur from emotional problems. These wounds also can affect our spiritual life. The person is allowed to express the pain or trauma they have endured then the Holy Spirit goes in & heals the wound. We may blame God for certain situations that have happened to us either as a child or as an adult. We also must forgive ourselves & others. Satan likes to hang on to garbage in our lives so our job is to take the smelly trash out! Ps 66:18 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear". Iniquity is sin, whether it is unforgiveness, hatred or anger. We must surrender it all to the Lord. Most people have come from dysfunctional families where they received curse words as a child. Abraham blessed his children. We stand in the place of their parent & give them either a Fathers or Mothers blessing. This is very healing! Through the Holy Spirit, He is the One who heals peoples hearts. No matter what the enemy has done to us God desires to heal our hearts! He desires us to have life and life more abundant!
